yet again

Another DNF caused by bike problems. This time i stood to accelerate, the chain fell off the big ring, I tried putting it back on but it was a tangled mess. I pull to the side of the road untangle it, started rolling along to a clicking noise look down, turns out that I twisted one of the links in teh chain. Pull to the side again jump on my spare bike, the bars are not center, the seat to high, brakes don't work, nothing like my race bike! I start to chase anyways. Start jumping from one bumper to another bumper. 32 teams in the race means 32 team cars... I make it up to car number 12 and I'm really hating the bike now. Our team car pulled up asked what was wrong with my bike, I tell them, a few K's go by, still in the cars. 2k's till the first big climb not gaining anytime, Ride over the Muur (Same climb Ballan Attacked Boonen to win Flanders), hoping to gain time back on the decent but yet again find out the brakes dont work very well. At the bottom I called it a day 45 K into the race. I figure why just ride to the finish area when I can sit at the Muur at cheer on some teammates, when your racing over here you never have anybody yelling your name but the few times it happens it really pumps you up. Bjorn Finished in the lead group... Nobody else finished. THE END

Good luck dude--when your're suffering in a crosswind this weekend, remember that at lease you don't have to climb freaking mountains each stage.

Better luck next time. Need to repair your bike? Then why not visit www.smbbearings.com/BB_BRGS.htm for a great article about replacing your bike's bottom bracket bearings, the photos are a real help too.
