Another run-in with a dog ..

I'm riding along, have my MP3 playing. All of a sudden I see something out of the corner of my eye so I look , its a dog running from the house to chase me. He gets ahead of me and stops and just starts barking and growling like he wants to eat me. I cant stop quick enough so I unclipped my foot and kick at him while swerving at the same time just missing the dogs head with my foot and just missing the dog. Then he starts chasing me so I pull out my water bottle and squirt him with a bit of water, he stops chasing me and starts going in circles like a rodeo cow jumping and shaking. What did the dog think it got squirted by ? But lets hope he's learned his lesson on chasing cyclist ... Or he just might be out for revenge on me and every other cyclist out on the road. That's Dog run-in # 2

I've been riding new roads lately road I never knew existed, there for new dogs that enjoy chasing me. Like Tristan said in his blog "you know you've been riding the same roads for to long when the dogs that used to chase you are to old". When I started training this year I noticed the dogs didn't chase me anymore. But since then I"ve started riding new roads. That was just all
brought to my attention while reading Tristan's blog.

I've picked up the training in the last two weeks, not sure on how many hours I've put in. But I forgot what it felt like to walk up and down the stairs in my house with sore legs and butt from sitting so long. Its a good feeling but yet it hurts a bit but that's all part of cycling. I have started logging all my riding since about a week ago, the last 7 Days I've logged about 12 hours riding and about 4 miles of running. I know its not much but its mostly all quality riding, not any of that BS just peddling around doing nothing. But I think its time for some recovery. Well that's all for now.

You do see too many dogs on your riding. I've only seen one...In a 3 year period.
