what a Weekend
WOW where to start after this crazy weekend? Well I'll start with the race.
Sunday morning we drove up to the race with the Brandt's after they let me stay at their house Saturday night out of the rain. While staying at there house Matt had a cross bike sitting in his basement doing nothing so I got the crazy idea that if it was muddy Id race it. On the way up it looked to be clearing up. We arrived at the race and it started looking as if it was going to rain again. During the sport race it down poured like crazy leaving most of the course under water in places which was really cool I thought, not knowing what was under each puddle.
While warming up I heard B Matter was going to rock his cross bike too seeing I was going to.
The race starts I get into the lead chase group. With Matter and I leading the chase group trying to latch back onto Jeff Hall who was just riding away like we were nothing. Lap two I lost control in some of the muddy single track and was bouncing off rocks and such I start descending down the long grass decent as I feel my rim hitting the ground I look down and see I have a rear flat so I pull to the side of the course go to fix my flat but my pump pulls the valve stem off the tube, so I ride ON the course back to my car and get a new tube fix it. After losing probly ten mins if not more I re-enter the course where I left and finish the lap! After a lap of chasing the bike starts not shifting and skipping like crazy, so I pull off the course again! Get some water to spray off the gears. I again re-enter the course not twenty feet from where I left! After losing another few mins I chase hard to catch the people I just passed. After forgetting how many laps I have left I start running up the long grass ski hill that was about 1/4 mile long. It was the last lap so I just put everything I got into the last lap I had. I was riding past racers on mtb's with the wheels not turning cuz the mud was so clogged up in their brakes. I had no such problem with the cross bike , tires still spun perfect! within the last two miles I must have passed 10 peolple that were having troubles riding. I ended up finishing 12th after being dead last on the 2nd lap. That race was the most fun I've ever had during a mtb race. The cross bike paid off BIG time. I have to thank MAtt for letting me use his cross bike.
So as I walked up to awards I was told I had gotten DQ'ed for cutting the course and having off course assistance when I went back to the car for a new tube.. I thought that was legal ? but i guess not .... Norba you get a flat you can get a whole new wheel ! I think they need to change that rule in WORS ... SO to the Person who "SEEN " me cut the course and not do the other half of the lap WELL sorry cuz the half you say I didnt do my feeder was handing me bottles in that part of the course and I did get all FIVE of my hand ups. ALSO to the Pedal Moraine Rider who says I beat him and he never seen me pass him... WEll you were probly one of the people who were picking mudd out of your tires or I just simply went pass you and you didn't notice... MG THANKS for writing somthing up on the WORS message board it only is giving my blog more hits thanks..
After all this mass Chios I did get my 12th place finish back and first in my age group due to not enough evidence and after my feeder confrimed I did do all the laps and did not cut the course.
Just another good day in the saddle! THE CROSS BIKE ROCKED !

Some friend you are. Trying to rat out your friends to save your own butt?
Dude finished almost dead last an hour behind the leader. Should he have taken a DNF, yep.
Even close to the same as you multiple infractions? Who knows.
Do we see how the real Cole House will screw anyone to save his own? Who knows?
Your car wasn't down there. You drove with the Brandts remember? You have to keep these things strait.
HMMMMM..... You should be ashamed cole!!! I'm mean seriously cheating. Must be a bad in-fluence again hanging out with people who "cheat to win sport races" tisk tisk.. o btw I finished a mtb race lol. yay. O well who cares about this shizz anyway lets go take peoples money at sheybogan. Matt Brandt top 20? You coming down for cross and fall color?
Look man, you are a good rider no question. You are also young so if you want to be around for a while pick your battles. Cycling isn't as forgiving as motor sports. You cheat in them, you get your hand slapped. You cheat in cycling you get a name, that nobody wants.
Nobody wants to admit to be a cheat, but sometimes not saying anything and taking the penalty, right or wrong will get you farther than making a big deal about it to get your way.
BTW: I passed you on the top of the hill, you had a flat, I finished 18th, you never passed me...
